Almost two weeks ago I made a big change for Amanda Rachelle Photography. I created a studio within my home to offer newborn photography, infant/baby photography, child photography, family photography, and boudoir photography sessions.
While we – meaning my husband – has it half way finished so far, I decided to feature my affordable photography rates and pricing for the home studio on my blog before it was finished. I did this because well, I figured it would/could take awhile for people to get use to the change of me doing studio type sessions vs. on location session. Boy was I way wrong.
My clients who have been to my home studio and the four that are already schedule next week have been kind enough to ignore the loads of baseboards, beadboard, and chair rail laying around my house. They seem to not mind the saw dust covering the backyard, as well as all the tools. Every single person has been extremely supportive. I made the switch because I wanted to be able to offer a place for people to do sessions who didn’t want me to travel to them, and I am finding that is a lot more people than I had first thought.
A lot of people who call and talk about doing a studio photography session have concerns that my studio is like Sears or Picture People. It isn’t! I have struggled with opening a studio because I LOVE the look and feel of lifestyle photography. I wanted to create a “mock” set up for my client’s who want the feel but don’t want the cost of an on-location session and are willing to travel. But it does also allow for a few more “studio” type poses as well. So what does the studio look like?! Well right now it is a HUGE work in progress but it is far enough along to be able to do sessions in. Here are a few of the progress pictures. (Please forgive the iPhone picture quality!)
If you are curious about my rates please go to my east bay photography rates ans pricing section of my blog. You can learn about all my pricing there. I no longer offer prints to clients, just high resolution files for them to print as they wish as large as the files will print. To learn about scheduling a session and my availability please hit the contact button above, email me at amanda@amandarachelle.com or call me at 925.548.0660.
